Zion National Park
Zion: a Hebrew word meaning "sanctuary" or "place of refuge"

Grant Gulch House: your lodging "sanctuary" only seven miles from Zion National Park.

Allow the Grant Gulch House to be your lodging provider on you next trip to Utah's canyon country. Located just west of Rockville, this exquisite vacation home will truly be a respite from the everyday routine you want to escape while on vacation. Off the beaten bath but only four miles from Springdale, Zion's gateway community, Grant Gulch's amenities will not disappoint you. Chief among them are the house's solitude and the scenic views of the Zion's breathtaking scenery it provides. Comfortably sleeping six people, the home boasts a hot tub, satellite TV, a portable barbecue, a washer/dryer, linens and even a telescope. Grafton, a scenic ghost town that served as a backdrop for "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" and other films, is only a half mile away!

If you truly want to "get away from it all," lodging at the Grant Gulch House makes a lot of sense. Zion Canyon is only a hop, skip and jump away, yet you are far enough from the rest of the area's tourists that you feel a special sense of solitude you would not feel at other lodging options. The park's most-visited area, Zion Canyon is a spectacle of towering sandstone monoliths exhibiting a wide array of color, caused by deposits of iron oxide. It is home to some of the park's signature landmarks, including the Court of the Patriarchs and the Great White Throne, quite likely the park's most photographed natural formation. A mandatory shuttle through the canyon drops visitors off at viewpoints and trailheads. Trails range from the leisurely Riverside Walk to the strenuous climb to the top of Angels Landing.
